An Airbnb massage is an outcall booking to a short-let apartment rather than a hotel. The treatment is identical; the logistics are not, because there is usually no reception to sign in at and no staff to ask.
That absence cuts both ways. Nothing needs explaining to anybody, which suits people who would rather not have the conversation at a hotel desk. It also means the therapist needs slightly better directions than a hotel name.

What to send us that a hotel booking would not need
The building name, the unit number and the floor. Hotels are landmarks that any Bangkok taxi driver knows; residential buildings frequently are not, and many have names that appear nowhere on the street.
If the building sits down a soi rather than on the main road, say which soi and roughly how far along. A pin dropped in the chat is faster than any address and is what most guests end up sending.
If there is a keypad, a lobby code or a lift that needs a card, tell us. That is the single most common cause of a therapist standing outside a building unable to get in.
Buildings that do have a desk
Many Bangkok short lets are individual units inside ordinary condo buildings, which means there is a security desk downstairs even though the listing is on Airbnb. In that case the usual routine applies: sign in, leave identification, take a lift card.
A few buildings have become strict about short lets specifically, because letting under thirty days sits awkwardly with Thai hotel licensing. Security in those buildings can be pointed about visitors. If your host has warned you about that, tell us and we will meet you in the lobby instead.
Serviced apartments, which look like short lets but are licensed differently, are the easiest of the lot.
Host rules and the practical bits
Almost no host has a view on visitors. The ones who do usually say so in the listing rules, and it is worth a glance if you are unsure.
Bedding is the one thing worth thinking about in a short let, since you are the person who will be dealing with the sheets. The therapist works on her own sheet laid over the bed and takes it away with her, so the host's linen stays clean.
Air conditioning in older short lets can be fierce. Say if you want it turned down before she starts rather than shivering through the middle twenty minutes.
Timing when you have just arrived
Most Airbnb bookings come on the first or last night of a stay. On the first, people have landed, checked in and discovered they cannot face going out again. On the last, they are trying to fly home without a seized back.
First-night bookings are worth making from the taxi rather than after you arrive. By the time you have found the building, worked out the keypad and unpacked, the therapist can be nearly there.
Arrival is usually twenty to forty minutes, though a hard-to-find building adds to that, which is the other reason the pin matters.
Where we go
Across the whole city. Short lets cluster around Sukhumvit, Ratchathewi, Ari and the riverside, and those are the areas we reach fastest.
Further out, into Bang Na, Lat Phrao and the northern suburbs, still works. Arrival is longer and there may be a travel charge, quoted before you confirm.
Noise, neighbours and thin walls
Short-let buildings are ordinary residential blocks, and the units either side of you belong to people who live there. Massage is a quiet thing, so this is rarely an issue, but it is worth knowing where the noise actually comes from.
It is not the treatment. It is the arrival: a knock, a conversation at the door, bags being set down. At two in the morning in a building with thin walls that carries further than you would expect. Message us your unit number and the therapist can text on arrival rather than knocking.
Music is the other one. Most people play something quietly from a phone, which is fine. The therapist does not bring speakers and will not suggest any.
Common questions
- There is no reception at my Airbnb. How does the therapist get in?
- You let her in, either at the lobby door or at the unit. Send the building name, unit number, floor and any door or lift code when you book and it goes smoothly.
- Do I need to ask my host?
- Almost never. Very few hosts have a view on visitors and the ones who do state it in the listing rules. Have a look if you are unsure.
- What about the host's sheets?
- They are not used. The therapist lays her own sheet over the bed, works on that, and takes it away with her when she leaves.
- My building is hard to find. Will she manage?
- Send a dropped pin rather than an address. Many Bangkok residential buildings are down sois with no visible name, and a pin saves ten minutes of phone calls.
