Cancelling a booking

Free to cancel up to fifteen minutes before your appointment. Inside that window the treatment is charged in full, because by then a therapist has crossed the city for an appointment that is not happening.

The rule in one paragraph

Cancel more than fifteen minutes before the start time and there is nothing to pay. Cancel inside that fifteen minutes, or fail to answer the door, and the treatment is charged at the full price. That is the whole policy.

Fifteen minutes is not much notice, and that is deliberate. It is meant to cover a change of plan, not a therapist already standing outside your building.

What “charged in full” means depends on how you booked

Both routes end at the same figure. Only the mechanism differs, and it is worth being plain about which one applies to you.

  • Booked and paid on this site. The treatment was paid for when you booked, so a late cancellation means that payment is not refunded. You are not charged anything further and no card of yours is kept on file.
  • Booked on WhatsApp, LINE or by phone. Nothing was taken up front, so the full price of the treatment remains due and we will ask you for it before taking another booking.

Travel is not charged on top of a cancelled treatment. Where a transport contribution applied to the booking it is included in the figure, not added to it.

No-shows

A no-show is treated exactly as a late cancellation and charged in full. From where we stand the two are the same event: a therapist has travelled and the treatment has not happened.

Please do not cancel by simply not answering. Somebody is standing outside a building at that point, frequently late at night, with no way of knowing whether to wait. A one-line message costs you nothing and settles it.

If the therapist is not the person in the photograph

Every therapist photograph on this site is verified, and the person who arrives is the person you chose. If she is not, that is our failure and you do not pay for it.

Tell us at the door, before the treatment starts. Someone independent of the booking will look at it — the photograph on the profile against the person in front of you.

  • If the photograph does not match, the booking is cancelled with nothing to pay, or we send a different therapist, whichever you prefer. Any payment already made is refunded in full.
  • If it does match, the booking stands and the ordinary rule above applies: inside fifteen minutes, the treatment is charged in full.

This is the only ground on which a treatment can be cancelled at the door without charge. Where a mismatch is claimed and shown to be an excuse, the booking is forfeited and we will not take further bookings from that customer.

How to cancel

Reply on the same channel you booked on. A one-line message is enough and no reason is needed.

The time we go by is when your message reaches us, not when it was sent.

Moving a booking rather than cancelling

Changing the time is free and there is no limit on it. If you move the appointment rather than cancelling it, nothing is charged, even inside the fifteen minutes — a therapist who is already travelling can usually wait or come back later, and that is a far better outcome for everyone than a cancellation.

Moving it later is always easier than pulling it forward. If your plans are uncertain, book the later time and bring it forward if you can.

If we cancel

It happens occasionally. A therapist falls ill, a booking overruns badly, or the weather makes a journey genuinely unsafe. You pay nothing, anything already paid is refunded in full, and we will tell you as soon as we know rather than letting the arrival time pass.

Where we can, we offer an alternative therapist or a later slot. Where we cannot, we will say so plainly rather than keeping you waiting on the chance that something frees up.

When a treatment does not go ahead at the door

A therapist may decline to carry out a treatment on arrival. The usual reasons are health related, and they are set out in the terms: a condition that makes the treatment unwise, or a customer who is heavily intoxicated.

Where the reason is something you told us about honestly when booking and we got the judgement wrong, there is nothing to pay and any payment is refunded. Where it emerges at the door because it was not disclosed, the treatment is charged in full, since the journey has been made either way.

Questions about any of this go to the same place as everything else. See contact, or read the terms, privacy policy and cancellation policy.
