The Sukhothai sits on the south side of Sathorn Road, a short walk from Lumphini MRT and from the northern edge of the park, set back from the carriageway behind its own grounds.
As with everything on Sathorn, the carriageway matters. South Sathorn is one way and the crossings are limited, so it is the detail worth including if you are giving directions to anyone arriving by car.
The walk from Lumphini takes you along the southern carriageway, and the crossings on this stretch are far enough apart that ending up on the wrong side is a real detour rather than a quick hop over. If you are directing anyone here by car, the words South Sathorn do more work than the building name does.

What The Sukhothai Bangkok books most
Ordered by what people here actually choose, rather than by our menu. Every one is worked on your own bed with sheets and oil the therapist brings with her.
Aromatherapy massage
The same slow work as an oil massage, with a scented blend chosen for what you need. Lemongrass to wake up, lavender to sleep. Most people book this one at night.
DetailsTraditional Thai massage
Stretching and acupressure along the body's energy lines, worked through clothing without oil. Firm, and on tight muscles it can smart. Worked on your bed, so there is nothing to clear.
DetailsDeep tissue massage
Slower and heavier than an oil massage, aimed at the knots underneath rather than the surface. Say the word at any point and she eases off.
DetailsCouples massage
Two therapists, same room, at the same time, both of you finishing together. Tell us what the room has and we will arrange the second place to lie.
DetailsWhat we do not tell you about this hotel
We are not connected to The Sukhothai Bangkok in any way. It is named here as somewhere we travel to, which is the only claim this page makes about it.
That means we do not publish its visitor policy, and we would treat anyone who did with some suspicion. Whether an in-room treatment is permitted is the hotel’s decision, it can change without notice, and reception will answer it in about ten seconds. Nor do we describe the rooms, since we have no way to verify what is in them.
What we can tell you is on this page: where the building is, how to reach it, how long we take to get there and what it costs.
More about Sathorn
Embassies, corporate towers and the densest run of five-star rooms in Bangkok.
Read the Sathorn pageQuestions
- What do you need from me to book?
- The hotel name, your room number and a phone number that works in Thailand. That is the whole of it. Everything else, including the oil and fresh linen, arrives with the therapist.
- Can two of us book at the same time?
- Yes. Two therapists arrive together and work simultaneously, so you finish together. The price is simply the treatment twice, with nothing added for the second person. Ask the day before if you want it on a Friday or Saturday.
- Is there a charge for a late booking?
- No. The published price applies at every hour, so three in the morning costs what three in the afternoon costs. We ask for nothing at the point of booking and hold no deposit against it.
