Outcall massage at Nana
Nana holds the oldest concentration of hotel rooms on Sukhumvit and one of the largest hospitals in Asia, which makes it two very different sets of guests on the same four sois.

Four short sois, the oldest hotels on the road, and a hospital that keeps people here for weeks.
Nana is the western end of the Sukhumvit hotel strip, running roughly from Soi 3 to Soi 11 with the BTS station over the junction at Soi 4. The sois here are short, which is the first thing that separates it from everywhere further east: nothing runs a kilometre inland, and a hotel described as being on Nana really is a two minute walk from the main road.
What Nana books most
Ordered by what people here actually choose, rather than by our menu. Every one is worked on your own bed with sheets and oil the therapist brings with her.
Relaxing oil massage
Long, even strokes with warm unscented oil. The most straightforward thing on the menu, and the one to pick if you simply want the tension gone.
DetailsOffice syndrome massage
Targeted work on the neck, shoulders and upper back for people who sit at a desk all day. The one to book if your pain has a laptop-shaped cause.
DetailsAromatherapy massage
The same slow work as an oil massage, with a scented blend chosen for what you need. Lemongrass to wake up, lavender to sleep. Most people book this one at night.
DetailsDeep tissue massage
Slower and heavier than an oil massage, aimed at the knots underneath rather than the surface. Say the word at any point and she eases off.
DetailsCoconut oil massage
Cold-pressed coconut oil rather than the standard blend. Lighter on the skin, absorbs rather than sitting on top, and it is what most Thai therapists use on themselves.
DetailsTraditional Thai massage
Stretching and acupressure along the body's energy lines, worked through clothing without oil. Firm, and on tight muscles it can smart. Worked on your bed, so there is nothing to clear.
DetailsThe accommodation is the oldest on the line and it has not been replaced so much as added to. Large 1980s and 1990s hotel blocks sit beside small family-run places of thirty rooms, and both sit beside serviced apartments built in the last decade. Rooms are generally smaller and cheaper than at Asok, and the front desks are considerably less formal.
The second thing that shapes this district is medical. Bumrungrad International sits on Soi 3, and around it is a dense cluster of clinics, dental practices, pharmacies and hotels that exist largely to house patients and the families who came with them. People stay here for two or three weeks rather than two or three nights, which is a pattern found nowhere else on Sukhumvit.
Soi 3 and its side lanes also hold a long-established Middle Eastern community, with restaurants, grocers and travel agencies serving it, and a good share of our daytime bookings in this district come from families staying in that pocket rather than from the hotel strip proper.
For us Nana is fast and it is straightforward. Everything is close to the station, the buildings are easy to enter, and it is one of only two districts where we quote a window starting at fifteen minutes.
Booking around a hospital stay
A meaningful share of the people who book us at Nana are here for medical reasons, either as a patient between appointments or as the relative who flew out with them. That is a genuinely different booking and it deserves to be treated as one rather than quietly sold the standard hour.
The single most useful thing you can do is tell us what is going on. Recent surgery, a healing incision, a cannula site, chemotherapy, blood-thinning medication, uncontrolled blood pressure, a fracture that is still setting. None of these are things a therapist can see, and several of them change what she should and should not do quite substantially.
In most cases the answer is that a treatment is fine with adjustments. Work stays away from the affected area, pressure comes down, and a gentle oil massage replaces anything involving stretching or deep work. That is a normal request here and nobody will find it awkward.
In some cases the honest answer is not yet, and we will say so. Deep tissue over a recent surgical site, or Thai stretching for somebody on anticoagulants, is not a treatment we are willing to sell. If your surgeon has given you a date after which soft tissue work is fine, book from that date. If you have not asked them, ask before you book us rather than after.
For relatives, which is a large part of this, none of the above applies and the ordinary menu is open. Weeks of sitting in a hospital chair is one of the more reliable causes of the neck and shoulder pain we see, and the office syndrome treatment was built for exactly that shape of problem even when no office is involved.
If you are recovering from anything, tell us what. It changes the treatment, and occasionally it means we say no.
The hotels, and why they are the easiest on the line
Nana has the least formal front desks on Sukhumvit, and for an outcall booking that is entirely an advantage. Four types, and none of them is difficult.
The large older blocks
The big older hotels have been operating on this stretch for thirty years and have seen everything. A visitor signs in, or frequently does not, and goes up. There is no call to the room in most of them and no discussion at all.
Small independents
Small independents of twenty to fifty rooms are the most relaxed of the lot. Often the person at the desk is the owner, the lobby is one room, and a guest expecting somebody is simply a guest expecting somebody.
Serviced apartments
Serviced apartments around Soi 8 and Soi 11 run a slightly more formal register because they house long-stay residents. Still quick, still routine, and they are the buildings where our regulars in this district live.
Medical-stay hotels
The medical-stay hotels around Soi 3 are used to visitors at odd hours because that is the nature of their guests. Nurses, family, delivery. A massage therapist is unremarkable and the desk will not blink.
What Nana books
Oil massage leads, and it leads by a lot
Plain oil massage is the most booked treatment in this district by a wide margin, and it is the only place on Sukhumvit where it beats aromatherapy outright. Part of that is price sensitivity, since Nana runs cheaper than the districts east of it. Part of it is the medical population, for whom the gentlest thing on the menu is frequently the right thing.
Traditional Thai, and the room size problem
Traditional Thai sells less well here than its reputation would suggest, and the reason is the clientele rather than the rooms. These sois take short stays and late bookings, and somebody out for the evening tends to want oil rather than an hour of assisted stretching. The rooms are no obstacle at all: we work the stretching on the bed, so a small room on Soi 4 takes it exactly as a suite would.
Office syndrome, from the hospital chairs
Office syndrome work is disproportionately strong and almost none of it comes from offices. It is relatives who have spent two weeks in a hospital waiting room, and travellers who arrived off a twelve hour flight into a small room and never quite recovered from it.
Aromatherapy, and the long-stay pattern
Aromatherapy picks up among the long-stay guests rather than the overnight ones. Somebody three weeks into a medical stay is not booking a treat; they are trying to sleep properly in a strange bed, and the scented blends are what we recommend for that.
The sois, one by one
Nana is small enough that the individual sois genuinely differ, and knowing which one you are on tells us most of what we need.
Soi 3 and 3/1
Soi 3, also called Nana Nuea, is the hospital and the Middle Eastern quarter. Daytime bookings, family groups, long stays, and the highest share of medical-adjacent requests anywhere we work. Soi 3/1 runs off it and is denser still.
Soi 4
Soi 4 is the main hotel soi and sits directly at the station. It is the fastest address in the district to reach and it takes the most short-notice bookings, frequently within the hour.
Soi 8
Soi 8 is quieter and more residential than its neighbours, with a run of serviced apartments and small condominiums. This is where the Nana regulars are, and the bookings look more like Phrom Phong than like the hotel strip.
Soi 11
Soi 11 is the newest part, with the more recently built hotels and a late evening of its own. Bookings here run past two in the morning at the weekend and the rooms are larger than elsewhere in the district.
Therapists who cover Nana
Every one of them trained in Thailand and holds a Ministry of Public Health licence. You get told who is coming before they knock.
Why arrival here is quick, and when it is not
Nana shares with Asok the shortest arrival window we quote anywhere, fifteen to thirty minutes, and for the same underlying reason. Everything is close to a station and the sois are short, so the last leg of the journey is a walk of two or three minutes rather than a ride up a soi.
The exception is the main road itself. Sukhumvit through Nana is congested for longer stretches of the day than at any other point on the line, because the junction at Soi 4 backs up in both directions and there is no parallel route to escape onto. A therapist arriving by car in the late afternoon is in that queue with everybody else.
In practice she is usually not in a car. The BTS runs directly overhead and the walk down from the station covers most of the district, which is why our estimates here hold up better through the evening peak than the traffic would suggest.
The one genuine delay in this district is a large hotel with a single slow lift, of which there are several. Nothing can be done about it, but if you are on the eighteenth floor of one of the older blocks the last three minutes of the journey are not in anybody's control.
Long stays, and booking more than once
Nana has more three-week guests than anywhere else on Sukhumvit, and a three-week guest books differently from an overnight one. A few things are worth knowing if that is you.
Book the first one at short notice and see how it goes. There is no commitment, nothing is taken up front, and it is the cheapest way to find out whether the pressure and the therapist suit you.
If they did, ask for her by name the second time. Continuity matters more over a long stay than it does for a single session, because the second and third treatments build on what she already found.
Space them sensibly. For most people a deep tissue treatment every third or fourth day is more useful than one every day, and a therapist will tell you the same thing if you ask her.
Tell us once about anything medical and it stays on the booking. You should not have to explain a healing incision to a new person every time, and you will not have to.
Where Nana stops
Going west, Nana runs to about Soi 1 and then reaches the Ploenchit junction, after which you are in a different world of office towers and luxury hotels. Those buildings are covered on the Ploenchit page and behave nothing like the hotel strip.
Going east, the district gives way around Soi 13 and by Soi 15 the buildings belong to Asok. There is no hard border and several hotels could reasonably claim either, so use whichever is closer to your soi number.
Going north, the sois off this stretch are short and reach Phetchaburi Road within a few hundred metres. There is very little accommodation up there and what exists is residential rather than hotel, though we cover it on the same terms.
None of this changes what you pay or how long you wait by more than a few minutes. It changes which page describes your building, and at this end of the road the differences between districts are smaller than they are further east.

Questions about Nana
- I have just had surgery at Bumrungrad. Can I still have a massage?
- Sometimes, and it depends entirely on what was done and how long ago. Tell us the procedure and the date and we will give you a straight answer. Often the treatment goes ahead with the affected area avoided and the pressure right down. Sometimes the honest answer is that you should wait, and we would rather say that than take the booking.
- What should I tell you about medication?
- Anything that thins the blood, controls blood pressure, or is part of cancer treatment. Those three change what is safe. You do not need to give us a full history or a diagnosis, just enough that the therapist knows to work gently and to avoid bruising.
- Are the hotel rooms here big enough for traditional Thai?
- Frequently not, and this is the district where it matters most. The older blocks have compact rooms, and the floor stretch needs about two metres by one of clear space. Tell us the hotel and we will say honestly whether to book something worked on the bed instead.
- How quickly can somebody get to Soi 4?
- Fifteen to thirty minutes is the usual range, and it is one of the two quickest addresses in Bangkok for us along with Asok. The sois here are short and the station is right on top of them, so the last part of the journey is a short walk rather than a ride.
- I am here for three weeks. Can I book the same therapist each time?
- Yes, and over a stay that length it is worth doing. Ask for her by name from the second booking onward. Each treatment builds on what the last one found, which matters far more across three weeks than it does for a single session, and it saves you explaining the same problem repeatedly.
- Can I book treatments for several family members in the same hotel?
- Yes, and it is common on Soi 3. Tell us how many people and how many rooms and we will send enough therapists to cover it, either at the same time or one after another. Give us a little more notice than a single booking needs, particularly in the evening, since four therapists to one address takes more arranging than one does.
- Is Nana cheaper than the rest of Sukhumvit?
- Our prices are identical across the whole city, so no. The district itself is cheaper to stay in than Thong Lo or Phrom Phong, which is why the treatment mix here leans toward the simpler end of the menu, but nothing on our price list moves with the postcode.
